Memory cards are available in different speed class ratings 2, 4, 6 and 10. The Speed Ratings indicate how fast data is written to the memory card.

The smaller cards are a waste of time and it is better to have one big card, as opposed to multiple small cards.

Best Micro SD/SDHC Memory Card for the HTC Desire
There are really a lot of different memory card options out there, when it comes to the HTC Desire. If you want a really good memory card for the phone, then you should either go with a 32GB Sandisk MicroSDHC, 32GB Transcend MicroSDHC, 16GB Sandisk MicroSDHC or 16GB Transcend MicroSDHC.
- The 32GB Sandisk MicroSDHC is certainly at the top of my list, simply because Sandisk is known for making quality memory cards and the card performs very well. This is by far the most popular 32GB MicroSDHC card out on the market. This particular card is bulk packaging and as a result, all you will not be getting a SD adapter with this card. - The 32GB Transcend MicroSDHC gets the #2 spot, but it really could be #1. Transcend is a solid company and their memory card products have never failed me. Even though this is a Class 2 card, it should be all that you need for the Desire. Another great thing about this 32 GB MicroSDHC card is that it comes with a SD adapter.
- The 16GB Transcend MicroSDHC bows in at #3 as it is a great mix of size, speed and price. As you found out above, I am fan of Transcend products and this card is no different. This should be able to give the phone ample storage space and data transfer should be a breeze. This is a definite must have for those of you who want a lot of space, but not 32 GB worth.
- I like the 16GB Sandisk MicroSDHC Card for the HTC Desire, simply because it is cheap and can deliver. Sandisk really makes amazing memory cards and this 16GB is no different. This is a Class 2 card, but it should be perfect for the Desire.
